OUR MINES.
CAMBRIA. Cleaning up and retorting for this company as the result of the past month's operations, took place to-day for the excellent yield of 201ozs gold from 129 loads of quartz and 45Ibs picked stone. WAIHI G. & S.M. CO 'S SETUEF. The Secretary of the Waihi Company in Auckland, Mr Seymour Thorue George, has received the following telegram from the mine manager :—" Yield for 28 days ending Saturday, May tho 7th, £4085; average stamps running for month, 50 head ; 1387 tons of ore crushed." WAIORONGOMAI. The battery at Waiorongomai is now running steadily, thanks to the late rain, and unless the supply of w&ter should again run short, of which there is not dow much likelihood, the work of crashing the quartz brought in from the various mines will be carried on for some time to come. Scott and party have at present about 40 trucks being treated. Gavin and party'will be the next with about 100 trucks, and after them Newsham and party with from 70 to 80 trucks.
