The homeward Australian mails dated Melbourne, April 21st, per Peninsular and Oriental Co.'s Khedive were delivered here to, day, via Brindisi. The mails per Messageries Mandates s.s. Sydney, dated Melbourne, April 25th, were also delivered to day. June 3. The various despatches which have passed between the New Zealand and Home Governments on the subjects of the recent Maori embassy have been published. Among them is a memorandum from the New Zealand Ministry, dated March 28th, which declares that there is nothing in the memorial presented by the embassy, which had not been previously satisfactorily answered by the colonial Government. Bombay, June 2. Telegrams announce that a severe earthquake has visited the district of Cashmere, causing heavy loss of life. CUibo, Jnne 2. The second battalion of the East Surrey Regiment, en route to England from the Sondan. have been disembarked at Alexandria.
