Medical — FIRST PRIZE A.A. and P.A. EXHIBITION, 1883. — <£1,000 REWARD.—Caution. Askforßitchens's Blood Restorer, THE GEEAT NEW ZEALAND REMEDY FOE CLEANSING, PURIFYING, AND INVIGORATING THE BLOOD. THE Proprietor, in explaining why he has not for gome time pushed the sale of the above, would state that he received such a eorious check by the disastrous fire which destroyed costly appliances and a magnificent stock of preparod herbs (recently replaced), and he has not; therefore been in a position to come before the public. Ho has not been able to satisfy all the local and foreign demands, and was unable to administer bS extensively as he could have deßircd to the wants of a suffering world. MR HITCKENS is now happy to state that he is onco again in a posit-on to supply'this health-giving Medicine, which he it convinced" will, " with the blessing of God," cure almost any disorder, owing to its irresistible yet gentle operation. In comiDg before the public and planting his standard once more on the rarnpartß of the great enemy of mankind— i.e., sickness —ho trusts that an overruling Providence will bless bis future efforts to mitigate the physical woes of man. In this evening's Stab appear a few of the hundreds of testimonials received by Mr Hitchens, one of which is from one of Auckland's best known citizens. It requires no further oomment than to say that bia illness was of a most severe type, baffling the skill of medical men, while other infallible remedies were tried without the slightest chango for the better. Here ii what Captain Faeqtjhae says of HITCH ENS' BLOOD RESTORER :— Anckland, October 15, 1883. —Dear Sir,—For twelve months I suffered severely from sciatica, and tried various remedies, without avail, and as a last resource I was recommended to give your Blood Restorer a trial, which I did, and I have much pleasure in testifying that aftor taking it for three months I completely recovered tny health. I may Bay I had no faitb in it at first, but the result was such a thorough cure that I consider it my duty to acknor* ledge, unsolicited, its curative powers.—l am, Sir, faithfully youre, W. Fabqtthab, Master Mariner, Ponsonby.—To H. A. H. Hitchons, Ksq, The Proprietor would here intimate that, £1,000 will be forfeited to any Charitable Institution if the good done by his Medicine has been overestimated. The Proprietor is prepared to meet on a public platform any persons who dispute the veracity of testimonials, and he will undertake to prove the genuineness of the cures effected. He is alee willing to meet in public the. medical gentlemen who have attended the patient! and have pronounced them incurable, and answer questions put relative to the facts of the cases quoted. Medical men's names have, from motives of consideration, been excluded from all testimonials, but then personal acknowiedement would add increased brilliancy to the iaoae of the medicine. ———— Mr AiEX. Each-Eton, Hairdresser, of Queen street, Auokland, suffered with a paralysed arm, with every indication of the disease spreading through the body. The doctors pro* . nounced the case hopeleße, and friends believed his end was drawing near, when hie was induced to give Hitchens's Blood Restorer a trial, the result being an immediate change for the better ; and on continuing to take the medicine, he was completely restored to health and strength, ■ Mr D. R. Chishoxm:, Agent for Mr HitohbhS.—Dear Sir, —It is with heartfelt thanks I am able to endorse the sterling qualities of Mr Hitcbens's invaluable Blood Restorer. Being induced by Mr Dieher, who spoke in eulogistic 'farm's of its merits, to place my wife (who was suffering very acutely with Rheumatio Fever) under its treatment, I am very happy to state the medicine has acted quite mßgically. Alter a few doses pain entirely ceased, and sht is making rapid progress, and is now enabled to resume her household duties. Acting to beneficially, I would not be without such a valuable remedy.and should impress upon these who are similarly suffering not to overlook this specific, which is inestimable.—Believe me, youre very sincerely, THOMAS BROWN, Brittania Heights, Nelson. Maraiti (near Eowick), Auckland, 17th August, 1882. To H. A. H. Hitchebs.—Sir,—l had been for five years Buffering from an ulcerated leg, and after being twice under treatment in the Auckland Hospital, without any improve* ment, I was induced te give your blood restorer a trial, and am proud to say after four bottles and the use of your Ointment, I became quite well. Please accept my warmest thanks, and give this what publicity you wißh, that others may benefit thereby.—Yours, most respectfully, CHARLES MORGAN, Maraiti. . Sheridan street, off Wellington street, Auckland, Dec. 1,1882. Me Kitchens. —Dear Sir, —An you have asked me to describe my state at the time Mr McMillan recommended me to use your Blood Restorer, and the effect it had on me, I will: simply say that whether it was Lumbago, Sciatica, or Paralysis that made me so helplesi, I do not know ; but, at any rate, I was unable to stand for nine months, and had to be lifted like & baby, and Bay taste was entirely gone. Dr ——— iaid|l had an affection of thespine, aiid that I should never have the use of my limbs again. He brought another medical man to. see me, and I was told that I would probably live only a short time, and it was no use of their holding out false hopes. I thanked them, and felt as they did. Mr McMillan, living opposite, inquired what was the matter, and my husband told him. He at once said, "Let her take Mr Hitchen'a Blood Restorer, for I believe that will put her all right." I did so, and after using the third bottle in the third week, I began to feel a change, and a tingling sensation in my limbe. .Every subsequent bottle seemed to be doing me more good. The result is that after using eight bottle*, lam now quite well, do my own washing, and all the housework, and feel quite as well as when I first came to New Zealand five yean ago. I am always happy to tell people the good you did me, for lam Bure I Bhould not now be well and' hearty, but moßt likely in my grave, if I had not put myself in your hand*. —I am, dear eir, yours faithfully, FLORA NICOL. Witneeß—HEH RY HARTNOLL, Nehon street. I have much pleasure in testifying to perfect accuracy of the abort statement. —N. MoMILLAN, Vulcan Lane, Auckland. HA* H. Coedis Bjsowne's Ghxobodxne, has earned for itself, not only ia Hindostan, but all over the East. As a remedy of general utility, we much question whether a better is imported into the country, and we shall bo glad to henr e»f its finding a place in every Anglo-Indian home. The other brands, we are happy to Bay, tore now relegated to the native bazaars, and, judging from their sale, we ncy their sojourn there will be but evanescent. We could multiply instances ad infinii m of the extraordinary efficacy of Db. In Choleraic Diarrhoea, and even in the more terrible forms of Cholera itselfj we have witnessed its surprisingly controlling power. We have never used. any other form of this medicine than Oollis Browne's, from a firm conviction that it is> decidedly the beet, and also from a sense of duty we ewe to the profession and the public, an we are of opinion that the substitution of any other than Cpllis Browne's is a DSUBBBATK BBKAOH OF FAITH ON TUB FART OS 1 THE CHEMIST TO PEICSCEIBB3 ASD PATIENT AXIXIi.
