WELLINGTON.
This day. Shaw Saville and Co. have been ad* vised that the s.s. Arawa has not been chartered by the Admiralty as reported, but will leave the colony oa her advertised date.
John Wilson, alias Cobbin, convicted and sentenced at Blenheim, on a charge of rape, received the first whipping this morning. The flogging was 25 lashes, and very severe.
