We have here at present several moneyed men from Victoria who are desirous of getting suitable blocks of land for settlement. They have visited the Tauranga district, and are at present at Wangarei. Waikato, too, is also included in the districts to be inspected. From Tauranga a report comes that" Mr Stewart has ordered off all his neighbours' cattle from his Katikati lands, The amount realised for Captain! Burton's property; in Hobson street, is looked upon its very satisfactory. An amusing item comes from Waikato. At Cambridge, a meeting was convened to discuss the Representation Bill. One speaker moved, " That this meeting views with alarm, &c."
