COROMANDEL
Tuesday. Tokatea.—Reported a parcel of good atone to-day from the Siege level. Crushing showing, up well,. Bismarck.-—Good quantity of specimens. Over 703 lbs reported in hand. Crushing expected to be the best had for a long timeUnion Beach.—Likely to break down to-night. Good show of gold in face. Specimens in quantity expected. An arrangement is being made to use the Beach'battery'for nine months, until a purchase can be effected from England. IN ew Zealand battery has been broken open, and a quantity of machinery and other things stolen. The police are on the look out. . : Kapanga.—The foundation for the battery and fittings is completed. Machinery including clutch and spur gearing at the mine to-day. The-manager expects to have the battery in working order by the end of October. Main drive in 2J5 feet, about 95 feet further to go before cutting stone. The Golden Point tributers are getting out first-class crushing dirt j they expect 40 tons ready to send through tho about Kapanga battery. Emily.—A fair show of gold on the plates to-day. City of Auckland.—The crushing- is likely to be finished to-morrow. Whangapoua.—-Albatross sailed to-day, Fanny expected to arrive this evening.
