MINING COMPANY MEETINGS.
Waitekaubi G-.M. Company. At a meeting of shareholders held on October 7th at Bennett and Cassrell s Hotel, Paeroa—Mr 0. F. Mitchell in the chair, the following gentlemen were elected directors, to hold office till July 1876:—Messrs John Brown, T. Carrol, M. Morrinan, J. B. Robinson, and R. Bleazard, and Mr I). G. Macdonnell confirmed in his appointment as legal manager. 100 shares held to qualify for a seat in the directory. On the subject of . roads being discussed, it was resqlved— " That the only possible road to Waitekauri to be available for the transit of machinery and heavy traffic is the road leading eastward of the Tarariki Creek, and along the Pukatea or coal track, the distance being about five and a-half miles." A sub-committee was formed to blaze the track, raise subscriptions, and communicate with His Honor the Super-, intendent to endeavor to secure the £3CO promised for this purpose by the Provincial authorities.
