' This day. Tokatea.— A large quantity "of specimens reported last night, making the amount in hand 750 lbs, with a good show in the face. Union Beach.—The stone taken out last night was very good; more is expected, and there is a good show in the face still. Bismarck. —The stuff at Bennett's battery has not been started upon, owing to a difference about the price. The election of members of the Highway Board takes place this afternoon. The Coromandel Mail comes out in its regular choicest style about the underhand trickery to force the obnoxious measure, etc.
