THE OLD WHAU.
The Old Whau commenced crushing at their own battery on Wednesday, on stuff from the stopes on the 40 feet level. It is hoped to keep the stamps at work permanently. -At present there are only two eight hour shifts working. The stuff is looking tolerably well, and, so far as can be judged in so short a time, will be payable.
