Coeomandel, This day.
Royal Oak —A parcel of IQOlbs specimens was reported on Saturday night. About 3001bs in hand. Splendid show in the face still. The manager has tendered his resignation, and Mi- McLeod will have temporary charge. The Tokatea will likely loreak down more specimens to-day from the tribute leader. The Three Brothers got some good stone from the loWer level on Saturday. Large fires were raging here on Saturday. Hr Hall's house narrowly escaped destruction; Mr Bing's fences were burnt. Men were employed all night keeping the fire back. Twenty thousand shingles destroyed and a large quanty of cut timber, besides numbers of trees. The cutter Diamond leaves for Auckland this evening. Whangapoua—The Rob Boy left on; Saturday with timber. The Glance is loading. The children's pic-nic, given by Miss Harris, was a great success.
