Boyal Oak manager reports having got out over 5001b of specimens and picked stone; gold showing freely both ends; rise also in roof. Got parcel of specimens from where rise junctions with ISTo. lon 180. 2. In breaking down quartz in winze, found another run of gold and bagged some specimens. Plutus — The return from crushing poorer than expected, being 31 ounces 7 dwts. The battery has only been running half time. No improvement is anticipated during next crushing. City of Auckland—Another auriferous leader is reported as being cut yesterday. Main's claim—Stretching wire tramway to Plutus battery, and will start crushing when finished. . Peters' claim—The yield from the stuff crushed was about 18 dwts retorted gold per ton. Royal Oak—Another parcel of specimens yesterday, and last night more expected.
