Coromandel, Monday. Heenan's claim took out 3Olbs of specimens from the lower level. The Native Chief meeting of shareholders held on Saturday; 42 feet of the contract finished. They expect to cut a lode during the week. The Plufcus has a satisfactory improvement in stuff now crushing. A large bush fire occurred on the City of Auckland claim yesterday. A quantity of props and slabs destroyed, two or three houses endangered. The men worked nearly all the afternoon putting the fire out. The annual meeting of parishioners ©f the Church of England was held; last night. Messrs Scott, Pearce and Marshall were appointed a committee for the year. Mr McCall was elected churchwarden, and Mr Woollams nominated by the incumbent. The Superintendent, and Mr Allright, Engineer, arrived by steam?r on Saturday to examine into the wants of the district. Mrs Brydone was charged to-day with stealing sundry articles from the dwelling of tho late Mrs Homan and sentenced to two months' imprisonment with hard labor. This day. The, Waikoromjko tramway will shortly be finished, when the Three Brothers will commence crushing ; over 150 tons stuff in paddock ready. Union Beach started sinking; everything^working smoothly.
