RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT

ALLEGED ASSAULT.

Kenneth Brown was charged with having unlawfully assaulted one John Leydon, on the 9th inst. The same person was als® separately charged with having assaulted Bridget Leydon, wife of John Leydon, on the same date.

Mr Maiedonald said with regard to the second charge, that he was satisfied there had been a mistake as to the assault upon Mrs Leydon. Eegarding the latter he should offer no evidence, all parties being satisfied.

The cases were accordingly struck out, and the Court adjourned.
