XXX.
(To the Editor of the Eveniag Star.) Sin, —In this morning's 'Tiser "XXX" assumes to write, about the Hospital enquiry. If his remarks in any way tended to shew that this was his object, I would, with all his faults, certainly acquit him of having written for such a bate and unworthy purpose as evidently he has done. Then, as his note is beside the question the reader will see at a glance that his norn de plume is so expressive that the whole sense of his letter is embodied in it. It is "Beery " signature, and a very appropriate one for such a " Beery" letter. This petty abuse of " Mr. Mcllhone not 6nly shows, but proves the pettiness of the abuse. If Mac would do what would please such topple no doubt he would T>e a fine feller; but such petty scribblers as this "XXX"beery arrangement, who hare no minds / of their own, think other people should be equally so. This is my word to you> '■<; ■ ' :' ' .'■ '' ' '■"'"' ' Pakbha. .',;
