A QUERY.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)

Sib,—Permit me to aak the " Christian gentleman," (I should call him a choleric breeder of ill) what portion of the public requested him to attend the Hospital Committee, and whether it was by their desire that he made use of the highly Christian-like and gentlemanly epithets in referring to certain other members. He says that many of the public wish hid to go. Do the " many " referred to exist in the gentleman's imagination? Is it not a fact that the " Christian gentleman " appears at the Hospital Committee under a retaining fee from Dr.LethbridgeP

A, Common Man.
