WARDEN'S COURT.
THIS DAT. (Before W. Fbaser, Esq., Warden.) THE DRAINAGE CASES. WAIO-KABI.KA CLAIMS.
These cases were brought on this morning, the first on the list being the Bright Smile Company and Pumping Association 'V. the City of London, the complainants claiming contribution from defendants towards the schemes of working the said machines and the period not exceeding twelve months during which such contribution shall be made. Mr. Tyler said in this case he appeared for the complainants, and had made arrangements for it to stand adjourned to the 7th of next month, October; but as he found that a public holiday takes place on the Bth, and as the case was likly to last more than one day, as the question of benefit was be to contested, he would ask for an adjournment of the case untiUTuesday the 13th. His Worship granted the adjournment The following were the remaining cases on the list:—Bright Smile G.M.Co. and others v. Crown Prince G.M.Go.; same y. Bird-in-Hand G.M.Co. ; same v. Exchange G.M.Co.; same v. Queen of the May G.M.Co.; lame r. Queen of the Thames G.M.Co. In answer to the Court, Mr. Tyler said so far as these other cases were concerned, Mr. Brassey appeared for the Bird-in-Hand Company, and had expressed his readiness to proceed on Tuesday; but as before said,-that was a public holiday, and lie (Mr. Tyler) wonld ask that these cases be adjourned to the same date. The cases were all adjourned to 13th October . JOHW COBICES V. TVAIOTAHI ff.M.CO.
This was a claim for damages for trespass en a residence right, the Waiotahi Company having encroached on a site held by defendant, to the destruction of the complainant's fence. Mr. Tyler, said he appeared with Mr. Brassey in this case, and. did not suppose it would occupy long, and it might be adjourned till Thursday, the 6th. Hia Worship adjourned the case to that date accordingly.
