THE WAITEMATA.
The cross-cut drive in this claim is still being carried in on the Moanatairi side of the hill. The manager reports that the country is a hard sandstone, in which quartz leaders are met with. The drive is now in one hundred and ten feet, there is no water and the air ia good; there is still about two hundred feet to driv» before the object for which the drive is being put in is attained.
