ACCIDENT IN THE QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
An accident, which might have been attended with very serious consequences*, occurred in the; above mine,last night 'about 7 o'clock.''The nam« of the injured nun is Boberfe Arbury, a contractor, It appears that Arbury had been ;%ith his mate engaged in blasting. They had put in one shot, which terminated satisfactorily, and brought down several tons of stuff. Arbury then proceeded to drill a holefor the purpose of putting in another shot; and he was engaged in hammering the drill whan the nangingwall fell on him. Though there are no bones brctken, the, injuries., are far from slight. Tlie man'i head.'.was severely cut, aud his arms and legs are very much bruised. He was at once taken to the Hospital; but was taken thence to his own home at his own'wish. He suffered very much pain in thenight, knd during a considerable portion was delirious, but we are informed that there is a great improvement this morning, and that recovery will speedily follow. . .*"■?.£ ;.:7-;-. ." ■'l : '
