Crushing has been commenced for the above company at Webb's .battery/ on a large parcel of stone. The stone; now going through the mill is very hard^ and the crushing process is necessarily very slow, yet, on inspecting the plates, jthere was a very good show of amalgam, j The quartz comes from good strong reefs, and has evidently been for ages subject to.the actionbf-water. j; - "'\ v >■■(''■:'
