John Maher was charged that he did on the 13th of June, 1 8745, commit willful and corrupt perjury, in the case of Hirk v. Davis, at the Resident Magistrate's Court, Shortlandi ''■■:..?■
Sergeant Elliott, on the part of the police, asked for a .remand until Thursday, 25th instant.
Prisoner applied to be admitted to bail.
The remand was granted, and bail refused. !
The Court adjourned,
