QUEEN OF THE MAY.

The results of the crushing from this mine at the Una battery are so far most encouraging, 90 ounces of hard squeezed amalgam having been secured since the crushing was started. The estimate is that the general stuff, amongst which is a large amount of mullock has been' taken, will average about 15dwts, to the ton, a highly payable yield. Mr Wm. Golds'worthy has received the appointment of mine manager, and will take charge immediately. The progressive works in the mine are very fairly advanced for stoping or blocking out.
