THE IMPERIAL CROWN.

The drive being put in from the 400 ft. level in the Pumping Association's shaft on the reef cut in driving has, under Mr. Sims' direction, been put in for about 12 feet. The reef is about 3 feet wide and is a compact body of stone, but no stuff has as yet been tried from the new lot. It will be remembered that a trial parcel from the same leader was put through .the mill, when the lode was first cut, and gave a moderately good return. In consequence of the alterations being made in the Pump shaft, mining operations in the Imperial Crown Drive have for a time ceased.
