Blackburn. chief pilot of the transcontinental airline. had his flipper on Monday in Washington and to-niffht was eating supper in Paris, when he learned he had broken three transAtlantic fly in 3* records on a routine flight, says Reuter’s Paris correspondent. Captain Blackburn’s constellation flew from Washington to Paris, 3870 miles, at an average speed of 31G miles an hour, a flying time of 12 hours 57 minutes. The other records were 11 hours 40 mlnuTs from Washington to Eire, 6 i - 27 minutes from Gandar ‘Newfoundland) to Eire.
