TOBACCO SHORTAGE
Sir, —Although tobacconists and store keepers are no doubt doing their best for regular customers it is annoy-, ing to be told repeatedly at shop after shop, “sorry, no tobacco,’’ only to see the favoured ones issued with a paper bag a few minutes later. I think special prayers should be said at all churches asking forgiveness for tobacconists. Would it not be far better if they told Us: “Sorry, we have only stocks for customers on our regular lists”?—l am, etc., Under the Counter.
