WOMEN’S DIVISION

MA WARO BRANCH At the November meeting of the Ma Waro branch of the W.D.F.U. Mrs Shaw presided. The December meeting will take the form of a Children's Christmas Party. A letter was read from the Minister of Supply expressing appreciation and thanks for the Division’s share in the collection of waste material. Mrs Kingston reported on the executive meeting in Timaru. Members promised to bring soap for Unrra, to the next meeting. Gifts of fleeces of wool were asked for. Mrs Kimbley was hostess.

Competitions, judged by Mrs Kingston Senr. and Mrs Stevens resulted:— Christmas novelty, Mrs Davison and Miss Struthers 1. Mrs Jackson 2, Miss Winter 3; lettuce, Mrs Shaw 1. Mrs Kingston 2, -Mrs Stevens 3; iris. Mrs Kingston 1. Mrs Shaw 2. Mrs Struthers 3; bowl of flowers, Mrs Kimbley 1, Miss Leslie 2, Mrs Kingston 3.
