GERALDINE PROUD RECORD OF SERVICE
Mrs G. A. M. Macdonald Honoured
Members of the committee of the Geraldine PlunkSst Society met this week to honour Mrs G. A. M. Macdonald who has relinquished the position of secretary of the Society after 21 years' continuous service. There were also present several former committee members and Mr T. H. Bannehr who was treasurer for many years when Mrs Macdonald was secretary. The president of the branch (Mrs J. Wyn Davison) thanked Mrs Macdonald for her valued and excellent work, and for her loyal service and help through her years of presidency, and hoped she would be many years a member of the executive and the general committee. Mrs R. P. Nolan, In presenting Mrs Macdonald with a flower vase, endorsed Mrs Davison's remarks and wished her many happy years. Mrs J. S. Barker also spoke of Mrs Macdonald's interest and work in the Geraldine Plunket Society and Mrs M. Bell also thanked Mrs Macdonald for her help and loyal co-operation. Mrs Macdonald, in replying, thanked the speakers for their remarks and good wishes and for their present. She had always been interested in the Society and enjoyed her work. She hoped to have many more years as a member of the committee.
