Championship Regatta (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON. Oct. 31. The New Zealand rowing championship regatta will be held at Wanganui on February 23, it was decided at the annual meeting of delegates to the New Zealand Rowing Association last night,. An application from Wellington for the interprovincial eights was granted. A survey of boat-building prospects had shown that there was no boatbuilder operating in New Zealand, said the chairman of the New Zealand Rowing Council (Mr A. D. Bayfield). An application was before the Minister of Customs (the Hon. W. Nash) for a permit to import boats from Australia and elsewhere, and a request had been made for the removal of the tariff on Imported boats.
