FOREIGN POLICY

Otago Trades Council Perturbed (N.Z.P.A.) DUNEDIN. Oct. 4. The foreign policy of the British Government was discussed at a meeting of the Otago Trades Council, which resolved to forward a resolution to headquarters stating that the Council viewed with' apprehension the disruptiveness of the British Government's policy which appeared to be dominated bv finance and capitalism, forcing it to continue an imperial policy which would end in inevitable disaster. The Council urged the Federation of Labour to make the strongest possible protest through the New Zealand Government against a suicidal policy completely ignoring the self-determination of peoples as set out in the Atlantic Charter.
