WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
TIMARU Mrs D. Austin presided at the September meeting of the Timaru Women’s Institute. Two new members were welcomed and enrolled. A request was received from headquarters asking the centre to dress a doll for the exhibition in November. The president urged members to get in touch with any exmembers in view of joining the centre. Afternoon tea was provided by the members of the South Canterbury Executive. HILTON The monthly meeting of the Hilton Women’s Institute took the form of a flower show. There was a satisfactory entry in every class and the president congratulated the members on their exhibits.
