TO FORM MINISTRY
Victorian Liberal Leader (11.10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Oct. 2.' Mr lan MacFarlan, denutyleader of the Victorian Liberal Party, formerly Attorney-General in Mr A. A. Dunstan's Ministry, was to-day granted a commission bv the Governor (Major-General Sir Winston Dugan) to form a Government. After seeing the Governor Mr MacFarlan returned to Parliament House and formed a Ministry which included five Liberals, whose rebellion within the Party was the means of defeating the Dunstan Ministry last week. None of these members has any previous Ministerial experience. Later to-day this stop-gap Ministry will meet Parliament, when it hopes to obtain a supply by midnight, when the dissolution obtained by Mr Dunstan last week will operate.
