NEW PAGE IN HISTORY

Soviet-Polish Treaties (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) MOSCOW, Aug. 18. The Polish Prime Minister (M. Edward Osubka-Morawski) before leaving Moscow said the Treaties between Poland and Russia on the new frontier and friendly relations marked the beginning of a new and great page in the history of Poland. “Izvestia,” commenting on the frontier treaty with Poland, said the Soviet Union had gone further than the Crimean decisions and generously ceded to Poland additional territory east of the Curzon Line. The idea of the people’s unity within the limits of a single national State was the guiding principle in drawing the frontier line.
