Weather Broadcasts.— The appreciation of the farming community at the resumption of weather broadcasts was expressed by Mr A. V. Pavey at a meeting of the South Canterbury Executive of the Farmers' Union yesterday. He asked if it would be possible for the condition of the weather to be made known at the time of the broadcast. Farmers could then make their own forecasts. Forecasts for Canterbury were not necessarily those for South Canterbury because of the latter’s geographical position.
