V-J Day Celebrations So that the children of Rangitata could celebrate V-J Day, parents and friends assembled at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall on Thursday with the purpose of travelling to Geraldine. D. G. Cain’s motor lorry had been suitably decorated for the occasion in order that the children could join in the procession which finished at the High School. A fitting finale was the holding ol a fancy dress dance in the hull at night The colourful costumes added zest to the fun. games and competitions and community singing being enjoyed A delightful supper was served later, ift er which dancing was resumed ' •usic was supplied by Mrs M.
