FIRST DAY On the first day there will be no organised programme, but all Bands are asked to assemble in Queen Street as soon as possible and the public are asked to turn out and celebrate the occasion, organising their own Amusements, Fancy Dress, etc. In the evening there will be a Bonfire, commencing at 7 p.m., at the corner' of Queen Street and Gorge Road and people are asked to assemble in front of the Post Office at 6.30 p.m. and join in a Torchlight Procession to the Bonfire. People are asked to provide their own torches as far as possible but a number will be available at the Borough Yard. Dance will follow in the Olympia Hall. SECOND DAY Children of the Primary, St. Patrick’s, High School and Country Schools are asked to assemble in Queen Street at 10 a.m. when there will be a programme of events for them run from the front of the Post Office. In this connection the buses will collect the children on their usual round, leaving one hour later than usual, and convey the ones who usually come in by bus to town and will depart from the Post Office at 12 noon to take these children home.

At 2 p.m. there will be a public function in front of the Post Office and at the conclusion of this there will be a combined service in the Olympia Hall arranged by the Ministers’ Association. The public are invited to attend all these functions and to assist in making the function spontaneous by joining wholeheartedly in the proceedings. W. F. BOLAND. Mayor. J.
