Facilities Extended (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. July 16. A senior staff officer at 21st Army Group Beadquarters said on Monday that the British authorities plan to provide one German newspaper for every five Germans in British-occupied Germany, writes a Hereford correspondent. The officer said these newspapers will be produced by the Germans with all the news coming under the scrutiny of British officials before pub-, lication. At present seven newspapers are appearing twice weekly, distributing almost 400.000 copies. News of local affairs reaches the newspapers by primitive means, ranging from men on bicycles to milk carts.
