FIRST MEETING
“Caretaker” Cabinet (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. May 30. The “Caretaker" Cabinet met for the first time this morning at No. 10 Downing Street. The meeting continued until shortly before Parliament met. Sir Archibald Sinclair, in a letter to the Liberal Association at Woodford, Mr Churchill’s constituency, expresses approval of their decision not to nominate a Liberal candidate in opposition to the Prime Minister. Sir Archibald Sinclair said: “The Liberals feel nothing but respect for Mr Churchill personally."
