Mackenzie Sub-Union , Delegates from the Fairlie and Aorangi Football Clubs attended a meeting at Fairlie on Tuesday. Mr T. B. Crampton was voted to the chair. It was decided that as the delegates from the Albury Club were unable to be present that the business of electing officers for the sub-union be held over till next week when the draw for the competition will be made. The South Canterbury Rugby Union advised that application had been made for an allocation of petrol so that sub-union teams could travel. Mr G. Giddings said he had inspected the Athletic grounds. Some cleaning up was required and he thought a working bee should meet at the grounds on Saturday, when the goal posts could be erected and the ground marked off. Mr Giddings was appointed as the Rugby representative oir the Strathccnan Park Committee. Fairlie Club Mr W. L. Bourn presided over a general meeting of players and supporters of the Fairlie Football Club. Mr Bourn stated that the finances of the club were sound. The subscription was fixed at 5/for plavers over and 2/- for players under 18. It was agreed that Thursday be practice night and to suggest to the Mackenzie Sub-Union that a seven a-side tournament be held later in the season.
