SECURITY BREACH

Release Of Treasure Hoard. Story (7.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 15. General G. S. Patton has transferred the chief Press censor for passing correspondents’ stories of the seizure of the Germans’ bullion and currency in a Thuringian salt mine, reports Reuter’s correspondent with the Third Army. A high ranking officer described the stories as “a serious breach of security.” The censor, who had handled thousands of correspondents’ dispatches since D Day, passed the reports before Army Headquarters knew anything about the capture of the treasure.
