Personal Mrs J. Cocker, Ryal Bush, is the guest of Mrs J. D. Allan. Mrs H. Judge and her daughters, are visiting Stirling. Miss M. Slattery, Christchurch, is visiting friends in Makikihi. Tennis Makikihi played Willowbridge at Willowbridge on Saturday and lost by one game. Scores were as follows (Makikihi names first): Men’s singles: P. Martin lost to E. Rogers 5-7, D. Caird lost to S. Cox 0-7, C. Lyons beat R. Campbell 7-6, E. Martin beat R. Miller 7-2. Women’s singles: Miss M. McKenzie beat Miss Fyall 6-2, Miss N. Bell beat Mrs R. Hayman 6-5, Miss K. Allan lost to Miss J. Voss 2-6, Miss S. Caird beat Miss Coxshall 6-2. Men’s doubles: Martin and Caird lost to Rogers and Cox 3-7, Lyons and Martin lost to Campbell and Miller 5Women’s doubles: Misses McKenzie and Bell beat Miss Fyall and Mrs Hayman 6-4, Misses Allan and 8. Caird lost to Misses J. Voss and Coxshall 5-6. Mixed doubles: Martin and Miss McKenzie lost to Rogers and Miss Fyall 4-6, Cair and Miss N. Bell lost to Cox and Mrs Hayman 5-6, Lyons and Miss K. Allan beat Campbell and Miss Voss 6- Martin and Miss Caird beat Miller and Miss Coxshall 6-5.
