PATRIOTIC FUND

Cheque For £2250 Acknowledged

As chairman of the Timaru (zone) Patriotic Committee, the Mnvor (Mr A. E. S. Hanan) yesterday received a cheque for £2250 from the Caroline Bay Association, the net proceeds of the 1944-45 carnival. “The Association and all those who assisted to raise this sum are deserving of the highest praise for their unselfish attitude by giving their time, especially during the holidays, to help the servicemen overseas,” said Mr Hanan. “On behalf of my committee I express my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to them on their patriotic effort.”
