MURDER CHARGE

Accused Remanded (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26 Although remanded from Wellington to appear at Napier to-day, James Eyles, who is charged with havingmurdered Charles Edmund Swain at Napier on December 29, appeared before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., this morning and was further remanded to appear at Wellington next Friday. Detective-Sergeant Compton explained that he had been in touch with accused’s solicitor, and through some misunderstanding between counsel and the doctor the medical examination had not yet been made.
