UNRRA STAFF

South-west Pacific SYDNEY, September 28. South-west Pacific headquarters for UNRRA will be in Sydney. Tills has been announced by the DeptuyDirector Mr Lithgow Osborne. Mr Osborne who is an American, said that when he arrived here 10 days ago one of hfs main tasks was to recruit 00 young Australian officers for UNRRA’s international staff. The officers chosen had to be not more than 25 years of age, and trained hi nursing and medicine, or experienced in military camp administration. However, he found so much talent available that he would recruit only some of the officers. Others could be selected later by the UNRRA staff that would be set up here.
