ATOM BOMBS
New German Weapon
(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 3. Detailed reports reaching neutral scientists and Allied experts agree that atom bombs, which are a new secret weapon German scientists are rushing to produce before Germany is defeated, have already been made experimentally In considerable numbers, states the Stockholm correspondent of the “Daily Mail.” ' The general principle of the weapon, which is nicknamed atomb, is that an electric shock splits the atomb if and when the missile reaches the target. Several major accidents are believed to have occurred with atombs, which killed hundreds of workers.
