Exclusion From Union Desired
(N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. The delegates to the conference of the United Fire Brigades’ Association unanimously adopted a resolution expressing disagreement with any proposal that volunteer firemen in brigades, including the minority of permanent men, should be required to join the union, and recommending that the Government be asked to amend the Fire Brigades Act to exclude all volunteer firemen from the operation of the Arbitration Act.
