WELCOME HOME A social evening in honour of Gunner R. Johnston on his return from overseas was held in the hall on Thursday. On behalf of the War Activities Committee the chairman (Dr. P. R. Woodhouse) welcomed Gunner Johnston home and presented him with a cheque, which he asked him to accept with the gratitude of the district for his services. Mrs Bowman presented Mrs Johnston with a shoulder spray The evening was spent with cards and dancing. Novelty dances were won by Miss Cairns and Master P. Weeks and Miss Temple and Mr J. Bishop Mr Smart was M.C. EUCHRE PARTY There was a good attendance at the last euchre evening. The prizes were won by Miss McAlwee and Mr G. Cocks. The leaders in the aggregate are Mrs L. Ward and Mr I. Vincent Music for dancing was provided by Mrs G. Morris and Mr Smart.
