DIV. HDQRS., ITALY, June 29. On the outskirts of an Adriatic coastal town there is a large building which was used as a seminary where young Roman Catholics received instructions to prepare them for the Priesthood and which still houses nuns who continue with the normal routine. But the main use of this structure is that it houses th* First General Hospital, the same hospital which for two and a-half years wa- stationed at Helwan in Egypt. Permission to use the building was granted by the Vatican before the fall of Rome. When the unit moves on it will leave behind many improvements such as a revitalised power service, running water and a 24-hour hot water system. It is a three-storey stone building on high ground overlooking the sea and its spacious rooms make ideal wards.
