SPRINGBROOK

Soldiers Welcomed There was a record attendance at the Springbrook School to welcome home Lance-Bombardier Emery and Gunner W. Rouse. During the supper interval Mr B. T. Cloake, chairman of the Patriotic Committee, extended a warm welcome to both men and also paid a tribute to their gallant services. Mr A. Wilkie also expressed pleasure at being able to welcome them safely home. Miss Moyle then presented each guest with a cheque, and hoped they would have a pleasant and happy furlough. In their reply both men thanked the committee for parcels they had received, and for the presents and warm welcome extended to them. Music was supplied by Mrs R. Rouse.
