Network of Highways
A tentative plan for a network; of highways which will link the Hay of Bengal coast with the Indian Ocean, the Himalayas with Ceylon and India with Persia, with additional hundreds of roads throughout the rural areas, with the idea that no village shall be more than five miles from a road or 100 miles from a national highway has been drawn up, states a New Delhi message. The plan will be considered by the Committee on Reconstruction.
