REMAND GRANTED

Stabbing Of Woman Taxi-Driver (N.Z.P.A.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 9. As the result of intensive investigations by the police into the stabbing of a taxi woman driver in the early hours of Thursday an arrest was made last night and this morning Richard McQueen, a naval rating, aged 21, was charged before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., with having done actual bodily harm to Nellie Duncan. A remand to January 15 was granted on the application of Chief Detective Holmes, who said that while the wound received by the young woman was serious she was progressing satisfactory.
