The maximum temperature was 68 degrees and the minimum 39. The glass was high and steady last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday)—Barometer, 29.4; thermometer, maximum 74.1, minimum 55.0; bright sunshine, 11 hours 36 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 57.
